Set Backs…

Today, as part of the testing for transplant, Charlie had an angiogram. I thought we would be in and out of the hospital and could have a nice lunch and spend the afternoon together, after all, Charlie just had his heart worked on a year ago and got a ,’goodbye..you are all good and no need to come back’.

Sigh…it didn’t work out that way.

They ended up putting in stents. These stents require the use of medication for at least six to twelve months, which means..no transplant..for six to twelve months.

I can’t begin to tell you the let down of those words. It felt so close and now just feels an eternity away.

Through half smiles though, we both agreed..so the café gets done first, then the transplant.

I think its great we have this exciting business to offset the kidney battle.
