I had a ton of boxes sitting in my kitchen the past week. Shipments of platters, curtains, speakers and the register system all taking up so much space. It was driving me crazy. I like things to be tidy and everything in its place, but in the building of a cafe, it seems things can get a bit messy.
However, today is the day it has been moved over there and mostly set up. The table bases have been assembled, the cash register system is connected and and most importantly the counter has been brought over!
I know it looks unfinished at the moment, but it will be complete soon. Charlie has built it in the basement of our house. Its 6 feet long and I think it may weigh about 75 pounds or more, and that’s without the countertop on. A huge Thank You to Gerard and Willie for helping with the moving, assembly of different things and for an amazingly fun, productive day and a fabulous lunch afterward!
I feel us getting closer and closer to an opening day!!
Now it’s time to start working on the counter tops. I stopped by Owl Lumber to pick up the walnut lumber to make up the counter top and the tables.
